Dang if CMC is right I am in that seriously heavy band of ice. Thats one seriously bad situation and I am not trying to hype it looks bad, of course if it pans out that is. As people said we will know more tonight or tomorrow. Do you guys think warnings will be posted by tonight?

I always though the primary cutting west warmed things up too much. Euro still does change us to rain for a period of time. Still a tricky storm.

I hope it trends colder or we are in big trouble with that .5-.75 ice, frank is that freezing rain and sleep or just freezing rain?

JMAN - follow the euro and rgem - they have the best handle on this IMO and again the Euro handles the sourthern vorts much better and it has proven this time and time again - there maybe some ice but with this snowpack it will trend even colder - the winds will be NNE - watch this - TRENDS AGAIN TRENDS!!
Okay here is analogy - defense wins you Championships in the sports world right - look who won last night? Seahawks D - and I was rooting for the Broncos - my bad and went against my own personal principles - every championship game I have ever played in, coached in or watched what team won - the best defensive team - THE TREND!!! Enough of my rant - HAHAHAHAHA!!
8+" people that is my call for the NNJ -we trend colder and snowfall totals keep increasing - THE TREND! Is that s TV show - oh no that is the view a frig them!!

Re: February 5th Snow Map / Storm Discussion 2.0 (Ice Storm)
Here is my current feeling with this storm- I think it continues to trend colder in future runs to the point that we have a general 8-12 inches of snow, with some sleet mixed in at times. Icing would be held to a minimum. No meteorological skills to back me up, just a gut feeling- I'll leave the skills for Frank. I just think we have been on a roll lately with these storms- my opinion is that we continue to hold the hot hand!!!

Cloudy with periods of snow after midnight. Some sleet may mix in. Low around 30F. Winds NE at 10 to 15 mph. Snow accumulations less than one inch......this is the weather channel forecast for me tues. night. then they have me for rain on weds. what model are they looking at??? I mean its a day away how can forecast that with what the models are showing. how come they are always conservative. what's worse predicting 1" and getting 8" or predicting 8" and getting 1". to me their both the same. they ( the weather outlets) never err on the high end guidance. this stuff just drives me crazy!!

If it was Boston they'd be predicting 12-18 inches and already have 5 meterologist there waiting.
BTW Washington and Baltimore which they hyped for this storm only got rain. Boston almost nothing.
