We got about 1.25" snow here in Bloomfield, then it changed over to sleet around 10:40, sleeted like crazy until 11, and now we have freezing rain and a temp of 31.5. Just went out to salt the walk and it is treacherous.

1130 AM. Steady snow that strongly resembles sugar, fine and powdery, swept just as easily as shoveled on my porch. 3.5, maybe 4 inches so far. One of the few times I've made out better as the outlander.

OK Janet, thanks for the heads up.Looks like I'm just starting to change.There was a last blast of heavy snow a few minutes ago.Stopped completely.That usually means it's changeover time.

12:15 pm here. Still snowing and about 3 inches...more on the plus side, closer to four. Still snowing. Small flakes, steady, and not yet changing over. Temp is 24

Think I'm hearing sleet mixing in now in Fishkill, NY. Never really had any heavy snow, generally a steady light snow with a brief period or two of near moderate snow. Can't get to a window right now, but I'd say 2.5-3" would be a good approximation base on when I last checked. Will confirm in a bit.

And his blizzard is still more than I've gotten all winter, even if this storm drops another 2 or 3". But then, is any true snow weenie ever happy with how much snow they get?

Jimmy, like some others here have mentioned, I would rather have just all snow or all rain.Slop is on my s__t list for sure.
