Anyone have any thought on how far inland in FL major impacts could be felt? My father live just over 50 miles due west of West Palm Beach, but along the SW shore of Lake Okeechobee. Forecasts seem to keep wavering on impacts away from the immediate coast.

He is heading over teh gulf stream - he will explode - i am calling for a 920's storm with 155mph winds.
The really scary part is up teh coast into N FLA, GA and SC - they will have many high and low tide cycles of water just piling up so when he comes up tehre the surge will be a devastating to historic IF he makes a landfall. remember sandy and how she piled teh water up for 2- 3 High tides before she made landfall but this is a major hcane - very scary scenario unfolding - not hyping at all here but something i do not think peeps realize.
