Re: May 2015 Observations and Discussions
Whats the weather going to be like tomorrow in NJ? not too far over GWB? Sadley my wifes gma passed away sometime on Friday night and the nurse found her yesterday afternoon, very sad was in her 80s. totally unexpected, through she was on medications everything as we knew was stable. It will be a outdoor Jewish burial so I am hoping it will not rain and that its not going to be this hot. I dunno if I can survive all black long sleeves coat etc in temps like this (may need my own AC in my cloths do they make those)? I had to tell my wife it was first time I ever did something like that and was very hard. The family is holding up, I know this is off topic but I wanted to know about the weather tomorrow so I just put it all here.

Yeah 5000 btu is for a VERY small room if you want it to cool correctly and no t eat up your electric. We need like a 12000 probably, looking about 250 or so. Otherwise it does no good.

43 degrees right now. Will be interesting to see if we make the 30's by sunrise and if NYC which is 52 right now makes the 40's. Nice for late May.
Outside shot Saturday morning for frost in some sheltered valleys.
Never got above 59 yesterday.

Beautiful Spring day so far - more like early spring than late here but I will take it after the past couple of days.
May have a heat wave Tues and Wed next week - 90* or low 90's with the humidity. Get ready for it.

Bottomed out at 38.1 this morning, pretty nice for Memorial Day Weekend, as Ak pointed out scattered frost and freezing temperatures in parts of HV and NNJ.
Ak I'm about 20 miles south of Montgomery airport as per your question earlier at elevation 600 feet.

Bottomed out at 44* this morning and then hit 70* thus afternoon with brilliant sunshine, felt great. Opened up my screened in porch and put out the outdoor furniture etc. What a job after thus winter and spring!
The humidity starts to build in tomorrow through next Saturday as a BH builds in or the SE ridge gets pumping wonderful. Still 5-6 yards of mulch to spread. The latest ever I have done this smbut gorgeous weather.
Everyone enjoy weekend and let's all remember those who served and are serving in our armed forces. Gid Bless them all and to my fuve uncles who fought in ww2, and then again in Korea THANK YOU. To my neighbor who is a Vietnam Vet, still gets chokes up all these yamears later when speaking about his experiences THANK YOU, and to my friends and now students who are serving in our military THANK YOU!!

Perfect May Day today.
Second your salute, Mugsy, to all our great guys and gals who have served.Thinking of my Mom's 90 year old cousin who served in WWII in the Marines assaulting the Islands. Here's to our wonderful WWII, Korea, Nam,Iraq and Afghanistan Vets whose sacrifices allow me the freedom to type this post.Sadly, all our WWI Vets are gone and I had a few as patients.I remember a Spanish American War Vet in the Memorial Day Parade in the back seat of a 1958 Caddy Convertible. My point is, thank all the Vets you can especially the old timer WWII vets who are dying off over 1000 a day throughout the land.
God Bless!

A second to everything Mugsy and doc said about our vets. To my dad the marine in Korea to my nephew the navy lieutenant there is no way to thank all of you that serve in the armed forces enough.

CP, you are experiencing the curse of getting old.....less and less sleep and wandering the halls in the wee hours of the morning.Welcome to the club,LOL.
Beautiful morning, 59 degrees, clear, calm.Looks like a week of the 80's and splash and dash showers and t-storms coming.
