D'Arnaud is proving to be fragile and injury prone, not good for a long term catcher.You need a guy back there built like a fireplug, a Johnny Bench type of physique.This opnes the door for that new kid now who looks built for the job.D'Arnaud is a streaky hitter as well.I won't miss him.

Great game seeing Wheeler pitch so well and then the veteran Adrian Gonzalez coming through in the clutch.Great move by Alderson picking him up on the cheap.

Amaing run for the Amazings and it's been a blast seeing this team overperform.Great sign was beating the Nats, the key to the division.

Well isn't this just ducky.Plawecki's hand is broken.TWO catchers out .It was too good to be true the lack of injuries.This team is cursed.can't blame the trainers for this, just bad luck.Looks like they will have to trade for a catcher.

Both of them are so-so players, so maybe with a minor league call-up with a fire in his belly will work out ok... and I did hear of a possible trade for a 32 year old...

I wish they had kept Anthony Recker.he was great at the plate, and when he got the extra at bats, could really hit the long ball.

Second sub par outing by Harvey giving up 4 runs again.Put him at the bottom of the list and bump Wheeler up.Harvey better get his butt in gear, this year is his last chance to prove he can be a good Major League pitcher.I'm not impressed at all so far.

Why is Jose Reyes still on this team? He is 0 for 17. The Mets need to either release him or send him to the minors while calling up Gavin Cecchini.

And terrible nights by the Mets vs the Nats at Citi Field. The Nationals, since September 2011, are 49-16 at Citi Field, a .754 winning percentage. And there's every reason to believe the Nationals will complete the sweep tomorrow night. Don't tell me Steven Matz is gonna be lights out, why should I believe that? This is where the season unravels.

The 12-2 start looked nice but it's back to reality for us.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph this young Atlanta team went through our pitching like crap through a Goose.What a royal arse kicking,LOL.Wonder how Calloway feels about giving Harvey another chance now.That was his first big mistake.Harvey is washed up, can't even do long relief.Harvey give new meaning to the term "You Suck"!Atlanta and Philly no pushovers for sure! Well, anyway, April was a great ride.I hate strong starts in April, they invariably lead to stumbles later on.Would rather have had this April in September.

Vargas is no bargain either. You can't expect a team that isn't hitting to recover from being down 5,6,7 runs. Atlanta always seems to beat us, so no surprise really, just didn't expect to be destroyed. Yes it is early, but Vargas and Harvey need to be sent down. Harvey is a cancer and not good for morale. I have tix for tomorrow night, hoping they can at least be competitve.

Vargas is terrible.Looks like Syndegaard, DE Grom and Wheeler are the best right now.A good staff, but the middle and closers have been awful lately.

A fellow Met fan told me yesterday that with the hot start and the cooling off, this reminds him of the 2015 season.  Here was my response:

2015? You mean the year that Harvey, deGrom, and Syndergaard were all healthy and effective?  You mean the year that the Mets had minor league talent that they could trade to get big time players?  You mean the year that three of the other four teams in the NL East were terrible?  Yea sure.

Yep, don't let that door hit ya where the Lord split ya!!!!! GREAT news, this guy became toxic.Harvey is lucky Calloway gave him a shot.In all frankness, it's better for Harvey as well.Maybe a different team in a different City will save his career.

When I made this post, it was the morning of April 11th when the Mets were 9-1 (they would be 11-1 later that week). They have yet to win back to back games. And think about this, the downfall this year began on Saturday, April 14th at Citi Field when Harvey got lit up, a year to the date after last year's downfall began. And think about all the problems the Mets have had as of late, Going back to the aforementioned Saturday night game, the Mets have yet to win back-to-back games.

People got on me for saying that the Mets would fall off and also that the Mets would win 65 games in 2018.

My critics are now silent.

It's a long season Mike, and your bad juju isn't helping! LGM!

This is the first time since 9/22/16 that the Mets win a game when trailing after eight innings.

Wow, the Subway Series is here and nary a word on both the Yankee and Met Boards!Man, if I was a Yankee Fan, there would be 50 posts from me since the last one on the Yankee board in May gloating over the incredible team they have.Sadly, I must contend with a bunch of guys who can't hit their way out of a wet paper bag,LOL.If the Mets don't get going in this series with the Yanks,it will be so humiliating to be swept by our cross town rivals I may have to resort to posting on the Mets Board every day in an attempt to light them up.Anyway, enjoy the Subway Series everybody.Yanks and Red Sox Suck in a classic race in the AL East!My only consolation being swept would be it would help the Yanks in their battle with SUCKS.I hate them myself after 1986 when they were opening bottles of Champaign only to be frustrated by the classic Buckner BooBoo,LMAO!
