Let's revisit this comment.

Red socks series 2-0. Orioles series 2-1. Cubs series 2-0 so far hopefully a sweep tomorrow but worst case scenario another series win.

19-9. I don't want to get carried away yet but it's getting difficult not to. With one of the youngest rosters in baseball and the best minor league system it's hard to not be giddy but it's a long season so I remain cautiously optimistic.

Now 21-9

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

And to think Sanchez did not find his power yet, Bird has been playing injured, and we still have amazing talent / depth at the minors who could be up here sometime this summer.

Was at the Yankee game last night against the Astros and their nemesis Kichel. Talk about going from ecstasy to agony in a split second I didn't think there was a chance Ellsbury gets thrown out at home. It took a perfect play in the OF charging the ball and a perfect throw home.

Two game losing streak which we have to end tonight. Amazing there is no quit in this team. They showed nothing all game and came alive in the ninth as always. They never go down 1-2-3. So close last night to doing it again...............

Great game to be at. I thought it was the right call to send Ellsbury. Tip your cap to their OF for making a great throw home. This team plays with lots of energy and passion. I remember the 2009 team also had a lot of walk-off and come from behind victories. I believe it was Melky/Swisher who found themselves in hero moments.

We all know what happened in 2009 Very Happy

Crap that sends shivers down my spine, the old SI curse. Was the whole Mets team on the cover this spring, just sayin Very Happy . You know I love ya Janet but when it comes to Mets and Yankees people of our age seem to detest the other team and I get that and respect it.

There doesn't quite seem to be that same hatred among Millenials for the opposing team in town. Am I wrong about that? If the Yankees lose the only thing that can brighten my evening is if I then find out the Mets lost in some excruciating fashion. I'm interested if others that root for either team feel the same.

My Pal CP, this goes back to the days when NYC had 3 teams and the hatred one had for the other was widespread. Not a vicious hatred, mind you, but in a sports minded way.My 96 year old Mom, who was a NY Giant Fan relates to me a story illustrating what I said.In my old neighborhood, Washington Heights,186 Street and Audobon  Ave, in 1951, there was a guy who worked for the NYC Dept. of Sanitation wheeling around one of those little 2 wheel carts that they would use to sweep the street and dump garbage into. This guy was a rabid Brooklyn Dodger Fan who would razz all the Giant Fans. When Bobby Thompsen hit that winning home run in the 1951 sudden death playoff game ( "The Giants win the Pennant") , this guy transferred out of the neighborhood and was never seen again,LOL.

I guess the millenials don't have the same feeling although I will tell you as recently as 2000 when I was at a World Series Game, the Yankee Fans let us know just where we stood as Mets Fans,LOL.I would never root for the Yankees, in fact, if they are in the WS I will root for the National League team. However, I will say I admire and respect the Yankee organization because I think they are the best thing for baseball. When they present themselves to play at your stadium, ticket sales skyrocket as we want to see our team beat you guys. The level of play has to be PERFECT, as the Yanks will eat you alive if you make just one error! Recently , what I call the Yankee Hate Index has been lagging as you guys have not won a series since 2009,LOL.Looks like this year is going to be excellent for your team and barring injuries, which really are a drag, I think a playoff spot is in the cards for you.

Hoping for a Subway World Series this year.We will see.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrI7dVj90zs

To this day to annoy a Dodger Fan I will always say to them "The Giants win the Pennant!", LOL. If the guy is an old timer, they will get it!

Yeah our generation it is one or the other, millenials seem to be more open-minded or don't seem to care. And I am the same way, I am happy when the Yankees lose, and will always root for the NL team in the WS. But I respect fans that are loyal to their team regardless of their record. You guys have had a rough couple of years, glad you have something to root for (although I still hate the Yankees!) LGM! haha

Idc what team you root for, but you better respect Derek Jeter. Instant ban if you do not. They should retire his number in all of MLB

Hey, it is okay. We know you wish you had our roster and out farm system. Maybe one day you can relive the excitement of being in the postseason! Until then, I know you'll just be miserable watching the Yankees succeed, as well as reliving our 4-1 World Series victory in 2000. But hey, maybe one day right!? Very Happy

Love it.

Have to get the ship turned around today and avoid a sweep at all costs and win at least one of the two today. Then beat up on some weaker teams next week. Every team will have losing streaks but let's keep this one from becoming prolonged.

Happy Mother's Day all.

Big ten day stretch coming up.

Baltimore, Toronto and the Red Sucks. Let's see where we stand 10 days from now.

My wish:

Tyler Austin can come off the disabled list this Friday. He's 8 for 20 in his minor league rehab so far with and OBPS over 1.200. Cut Chris Carter, nice guy but can't field, or hit other than the occasional homer and get Austin back up at first until Birds return. After that he can fill in at first, third and the outfield.

They are so deep with young talent it's scary. I'm still not sure if it translates to a division title this year but the future couldn't be brighter.

Frank:

I was at the game today in back of home plate 15 rows from the field. I have never seen anything like that first home run Judge hit in my life. I've been going to baseball games a long time and that was the greatest single moment just because of the awe watching the flight of that ball, OMG it was FREAKIN UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. No one at the game could stop talikng about it. Of course for good measure he hit a mere 405 foot home run to the opposite filed in his next at bat.

Watching just him alone is worth three times the price of admission.

Oh and Gary Sanchez hit a 450 foot home run and has 13 RBI's in his last 5 games.

Did someone say Murderers row.

This is the most fun team I have ever seen. Let's hope they stay healthy and it continues.

I guess your referencing the cover Jinx that has derailed the careers of everyone other than Jacob Degrom since the Fab five (Thor, the dark knight, wheeler, Matz and Degrom graced their cover this spring ). Turned out well.

Judges problem isn't the cover it's that damn home run derby. Yankees would be nuts to let him participate in that again next year.

Have to win the next two against Cleveland Boys or the Red Sucks series may be meaningless this weekend other than trying to stay ahead in the wild card.

Sit Judge at least another couple of games. I love the guy but he's been dealing with an injury to his left shoulder for weeks now and it's obviously been affecting him. I'd tell the home run derby people to KMA next year if he gets asked to defend his title. I knew that was a KOD from the beginning. Poor David Wright never recovered from it.

CP, when I was a Yankee Fan in 1960 and 1961, here is a classic Home Run Derby I watched. This is back in the stone age of baseball, no hype ,just two classic players. If they hit 3 home runs in a row, they got an extra 1000.00 dollars,LOL.If you have a little time, watch the whole thing it's classic! No Derby curse in those years, both men went on to incredible careers.

I've been a fan of the Yankees for forty years, and that had to be one of the most post season gut wrenching losses I ever witnessed just now. What was Joe Girardi thinking? Sabathia was rolling and you take him out with a five run lead in the 6th inning? That was mistake number 1. Then later in the inning with two runners on, The umpire calls a hit by pitch which was clearly not. Why the hell didn't Girardi ask for a replay. It would of been surely called back. That was mistake number 2. Naturally the next pitch is a grand slam. That changed the whole game. I want to punch a wall right about now. Mad
