2017 Yankees Season
I think the Yankees farm system is going to flex their potential this year. SO many guys I look forward to seeing, namely Judge, Torres, Bird, Sanchez, Austin, Severino, etc. If everyone plays to their ceiling I actually think we can sneak into the playoffs, but obviously it's rare everyone does play to their ceiling so I predict we just miss it again. However, this team is trending in a positive direction.

Re: 2017 Yankees Season
I posted this on the other thread but here are my predictions for the 2017 MLB Season. Â Here I will simply use playoff seeding:
NL:
1: Cardinals (Central)
2: Dodgers (West)
3: Braves (East)
WC-1: Nationals
WC-2: Mets
WC game: Nationals over Mets
NLDS: Cardinals over Nationals; Dodgers over Braves
NLCS: Cardinals over Dodgers
AL:
1: Texas (West)
2: Yankees (East)
3: Tigers (Central)
WC-1: Cleveland
WC-2: Red Sox
WC game: Cleveland over Red Sox
ALDS: Texas over Cleveland; Yankees over Tigers
ALCS: Yankees over Texas
WS: Cardinals over Yankees
Mets: 86 wins
Yankees: 93 wins
NL Cy Young: Bartolo Colon
NL MVP: Daniel Murphy
AL Cy Young: Justin Verlander
AL MVP: Gary Sanchez
NL Manager of the Year: Brian Snitker
AL Manager of the Year: Joe Girardi
WS MVP: Yadier Molina
Now before you come after me asking why the Cubs are not here, I think it will be a very injury plagued year being hungover. Â Five of the last six defending champions failed to make the postseason and the one that did got the second wildcard spot.
As far as the Yankees go, I think this team has elements of the young 1996 Yankees. Â Not sure if they can go all the way but there is plenty of promise for that ball club going forward.

Said the Mets Fan whose team only seems capable of beating the Phillies this season.
Aaron Judge is a beast.

6'7" and 282 to be exact.
Someone pinch me I must be dreaming. Another huge comeback win today.
18-9 WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never would have dreamed it. DOn't know if it continues but I said go 81-81 this year and get all the young guys a year of experience and it's a great season. So far so good but as with any young team there will be growing pains, but maybe not as many as I thought. TWT

Let's revisit this comment.
Red socks series 2-0. Orioles series 2-1. Cubs series 2-0 so far hopefully a sweep tomorrow but worst case scenario another series win.
19-9. I don't want to get carried away yet but it's getting difficult not to. With one of the youngest rosters in baseball and the best minor league system it's hard to not be giddy but it's a long season so I remain cautiously optimistic.

When I was a Yankee Fan in 1960, Casey was the manager. An amazing guy who produced incredible results for the Yankees and guidied the Mets in their early difficult years.

Now 21-9
And to think Sanchez did not find his power yet, Bird has been playing injured, and we still have amazing talent / depth at the minors who could be up here sometime this summer.

Re: 2017 Yankees Season
Was at the Yankee game last night against the Astros and their nemesis Kichel. Talk about going from ecstasy to agony in a split second I didn't think there was a chance Ellsbury gets thrown out at home. It took a perfect play in the OF charging the ball and a perfect throw home.
Two game losing streak which we have to end tonight. Amazing there is no quit in this team. They showed nothing all game and came alive in the ninth as always. They never go down 1-2-3. So close last night to doing it again...............
