Got completely screwed here in Nassau County. Snow holed all night while areas east and south got 3". Maybe 1" here. Now I have to go to school and face hundreds of people I guaranteed a 2 hour delay to.

0.2 inches last night brings the yearly total to 15.4 which is only slightly below normal at this point in the season.

Since most of the snow was before mid December and we've been above normal temperature wise 15 straight days until yesterdays so called cold spell which gave us normal temperatures it feels like a crappy winter so far.

Yesterday began the cold stretch myself and others have talked about in the LR thread. January 5th-10th was expected to be below normal with a couple of snow chances. It looks like the cold will come to fruition. We'll be in the 20's for the most part. The snow threat looks like it will also come to fruition for parts of the area. Overall, this time period was noted admirably. After the 10th, we look to go downhill again.
