It's all good. Mets vs Yankees

Yankees look great. Very streaky team, but as long as we're winning more I'm happy. Once Nova and Ellsbury return this could be a dominant Team

3-6 followed by 18-6 followed by 1-10 and followed by the current 10-3.

It all adds up to 32-25 and first place although in a very weird fashion.

I'm never seen as many ups and downs by the same team in a 57 game spread like this. It has been entertaining and aggravating, but at least so far more entertaining.

And the beat goes on. 7 in a row.

CP, last week, I made a six paragraph post on another website that night and copy and pasted it onto the Mets thread.  I tried to change it but it wouldn't let me, unless I wanted to type it all out again.  The same goes for the post you were mentioning.

The AL East is tighter than ever. Best part is, sooooo many people had Boston winning it all. They are in dead last and continue to plummet.

It's okay buddy I was busting on the Mets as I have done my entire life. I too was born in the era where you can only love one and despise the other. Nothing has changed about that and the almost 50 years now I've been following baseball.  Actually having the Mets relevant again this year has brought back the joy of rooting against them.

That's why I think you're the best, CP,you are black or white, hot or cold.What's that scripture say..."you are neither hot nor cold but lukewarm, therefor I spew you out of my mouth!" That ain't you or me either while were at it.

Baseball is more unpredictable than the weather.

Guess the P(ineda)NO did not line up.

I've said it several times, it's the weirdest Yankee season ever. Their either hot or cold and it never seems to have anything to d with whose injured or who they're playing. They sweep the best and lose to the worst.  

This is their season so far and this says it all, Started 3-6, then 18-6, then 1-10 followed by 11-3 followed by 1-5 then 4-0 now 0-2. Make sense of  that.

I just hope the rumblings  are wrong and they don't give up all the good young talent they now have in the minors for overpriced Cole Hammels.

On our way to being swept by the Phillies the worst road team in the history of baseball, maybe a slight exaggeration. How humiliating.

Was in the 50's this morning!

Yankees offense or lack of putting me to sleep the last week so since bothe NY teams were on at the same time last night I actually watched some of the Met game. I will never complain about the Yankee offense again.

I do loathe the Mets and always have but what team would not want their young pitching, of course if you want to improve that team you have to give up one or two of them for the right young hitting stud or studs.

Yanks have nice young pitching staff too and they would alll be 28 or younger except for the assinine decision to put Warren, arguably their best starter this year to the bullpen so aging, fat, washed up 3-8 CC with the 5.60 ERA can continue to embarrass himself. Nice guy but when it's over it's over. Put him in the pen and stop this crap about you can't disrespect him like that. He make 25 million someone please disrespect me like that.

Man, Aaron Judge continues to mash even in AAA. This kid is special. His power is off the charts. I REALLY hope he works out. Plugging him in RF with 30 HR potential every season for the foreseeable future would be a DREAM!!

I also love what the Yanks are doing with their pitching staff. So many youngsters with high ceilings.

Pineda, Tanaka, Eovaldi, Nova, Warren, Severino, Mitchell, Kapriellian (our 1st rounder this season), Lail, Davis, Clarkin, Hensley (the last 2 had TJS and won't pitch until next season).

Once CC is out of the picture we will have a Mets-like core.

Arod looks like a stud again.

Yankees continue to look quite impressive to my surprise. I had them pegged for about 80 wins this year. I thought Arod and Texiera would struggle this year; boy was I wrong!!! Pitching has been better than I thought too. To make a deep run in October, I think they need to pick up another pitcher before the trading deadline. Me personally, I would like to see if they can acquire David Price from the tigers.

Yes, Price would be huge and he will not cost as much as Hamels.

If the Yankees have to give up a big prospect, so be it as long as its not Severino... never give up your stud pitching prospects. Look at the caliber of pitcher your getting in return. Pitching wins championships. The way I look at it, you might as well go for the brass ring now.
