Re: Nov. 1st Storm Observation Thread
steve d says snow sleet mixing in at base of cloud cover and some reports of snow in Maryland. seems heavy radar reflections not heavy rain but showing snow/sleet mixing in. anyone in nj seeing any mixing?

ace rain drops probably heavy and big because snow is mixing in not to far above surface and melting before reaching ground. some one in Columbus nj ( do not know where that is) had some wet snow flakes mix in.

Re: Nov. 1st Storm Observation Thread
Most likely not the case for me. 925mb is about 4c and 850s are about 1c. But to the west where the 0c at 850 is close i bet you are correct.algae888 wrote:Quietace wrote:Very heavy rain this morning, both in intensity and the weight of the droplets themselves.

Weather stations close are reporting 1.15-1.42. Nice variation for being very close to each other.

LOL, sure you want to move to Hackettstown Frank? See what's happening with this storm? I barely got any rain so far but the Jersey Shore boys have near one and a half inches. If this were winter, you know what that would mean.See if Mars has a branch office in Seaside,LOL!
Just the continuing bias of the last five years for these big snowstoms (winter storms) to stay S and E of me.

Re: Nov. 1st Storm Observation Thread
I was up in fdr park and it was dry, playing basketball outside no problem, past
I -287 it wasnt very wet at all.
That SC snow is crazy, to get not just snowfall but actual accumulation is impressive for barely Nov. That had to be in the mountains well inland right..

Ahh soulsing I saw it on my phone but looked outside and saw no wind, didn't notice the time was half asleep, been a sleepy day chilly and nothing really going on here. This better not be all winter.

Once I move, all the storms will follow me. So Ryan and Skins and all those other meat heads on the coast better enjoy it now. Mother Nature knows who her boss is. Hi.
Anyways, rain dwindling down now but cold and wind coming in. Gusts possibly over 40 mph

If the weather is gonna be like today, take it to inland NJ. Rain since sunrise here on LI. Still is going and so cold. What a miserable day. Luckily, I napped twice to keep me busy.
