Not sure I agree with that assessment of position. looks more centered over SE NJ.

Frank is that band go work into the area up here later? Weird usually I hear thunder from NYC, did not hear a thing. snowing hard and boom my faith is somewhat restored.Frank_Wx wrote:Madonne!
700mb frontogenesis off the charts with the band working its way north from SNJ. Philly is going to see 3"+/hour rates if they are not already.
Check out the convergence over NYC. Hence thundersnow. You have to smell the rain to get the best snowfall rates. It is happening here.
Most places are seeing SN+ now. Only areas under plain rain are central/eastern LI, halfway down Jersey Shore and extreme SNJ
300mb jet...philly getting rocked

It's sticking, even on roads. And it happened in 15 minutes. BUCKLE UP.

Re: Pain in the Butt March 7th Godzilla: Observations
Heavy snow here now driveway and roads are finally covered. 4 inches so far on the snowboard trees are already getting weighted down. Now it’s looking serious finally.

So I'm just seeing things wrong? Sighhhh I knew it was too good to be true aha thank you for bringing me back to normalcy, buddy lol I appreciate what you did for me, as it is likely going to be beneficial to my longer term health, but I really wish you would have let me have my moment of joy ahahahaha

Re: Pain in the Butt March 7th Godzilla: Observations
Rapidly intensifying low off the coast. Remember when models were showing the dual low solution? One along the coast and one well off? Looks like that was CF and the eastern-most low turned out to be the correct position.

Invariably there are going to be areas that are surprised and others that will be disappointed.

Re: Pain in the Butt March 7th Godzilla: Observations
This started about 20 minutes ago. When I took the photo it was sticking to grass, cars. It has just now begun sticking to pavements in spots now as well.

I definitely do like how those pressure falls are oriented, though, I must say.
