Yankees now have a murderer's row lineup. Just imagine having to pitch to Judge-Stanton-Sanchez back to back to back. Wow!!!Frank_Wx wrote:2 words.

Re: 2018 Yankee Season
This is your year Yankee Fans of the Board! Think I'll put a ten spot on the Yanks winning the 2018 World Series. As a Met Fan, I'm glad Stanton is out of our division.,Now he will only murder us for four games instead of the many more in our division play with the Marlins,LOL.You have a Mantle-Maris set up there with him and Judge.

Here's a clip of a game I was watching featuring part of the 1961 Muderer's Row announced by the best baseball announcer that ever lived.

Re: 2018 Yankee Season
The 2018 Yankees offense, led by Stanton and Judge, will become one of the most legendary offenses in baseball history. I see the Yankees winning 100 games and going to the World Series, losing to the San Francisco Giants.

Well, I bet 10 bucks the Yanks will win the WS and have 5-1 odds so I hope your wrong.Hate to see that Sports Illustrated article though. That's always the KOD.Bird already out 6-8 weeks. That's the wild card here with the Yanks.Injuries.

Easy there. Haha. Do not upset the ghosts of the 1927 Yankees. You don’t want ghosts feeling slighted. Lol.

Re: 2018 Yankee Season
All the talk about how the bad the Yankees are coming from Mets fan. I remember saying the same stuff back in early 2009 (i.e. they suck, these players are all busts, the Yankees are going to endure some down years like the late '80s-early '90s). On May 12th, the Yankees were 15-17, 6.5 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays for the division. Then they got hot and never looked back, finishing the year 103-59 and winning the World Series.
And back in 2007, the Yankees were 21-29, 14.5 games behind the BoSox for the Division and 8.5 games behind the Tigers for the Wild Card. They would finish the season 94-68, just two games behind the BoSox for the division and got the Wild Card six games ahead of the Tigers (remember back then, there was just one Wild Card spot and had the same value as the three division title spots. The Yankees probably could have made it past the first round vs Cleveland had it not been for a bug invasion in Game 2.
I made a prediction before the season began that the Yankees would win 100 games and get to the WS. I stand by that case. To all the Yankee fans panicing, relax, they will get hot. Stanton is enduring what Teixiera and Tino Martinez endured in 2009 and 1996, respectively: rough starts during the Yankees tenure. By mid-May, they both figured it out. Stanton will too.

Really Mike? I didn't say anything about how bad it's been, I stated a comment about the curse of the cover on SI.

And look at what's happening. The Yankees are a hot team right now having won 16 of their last 17 games and they have caught up with the Red Sox in the division. And I mentioned Stanton would get going by mid-May. He sure got going last night hitting two home runs vs the Red Sox. They have won games they trailed in the ninth inning, which is what championship contenders do.
Weeks ago, people got on me for saying that the Yankees would win 100 games and go to the World Series in 2018.
My critics are now silent.

Re: 2018 Yankee Season
Hope the Yankee Fans don't mind me coming here, the Mets are so bad I can't find anything there to excite me.As a baseball fan, I think this Yankee -Sucks rivalry is one for the ages.Like Rock Em Sock Em Robots ( a toy from the 1960's) they slug it out like two heavyweights! It's going to be a great playoff season with those two teams in there!

Such a horrible game. I don't even know what to say. Everyone from Severino to Boone pissed me off. I am going to game 4 tonight.

Re: 2018 Yankee Season
What a disappointing end to a promising season. Hate to say this but I saw this coming since the preseason. Yankees don't have a bonafide ace in their rotation which is sorely needed if you want to make a deep run in the playoffs. In the off season I would go after free agents Patrick Corbin, Dallas Keuchel and Charlie Morton. If that doesn't work then trade for one. Other than Judge any one on the team is trade bait and that includes Gleyber Torrez and Gary Sanchez.

After the Mets horrible month of June, before the All Star break, there was talk of a possible De Grom trade. The Yankees were mentioned but Cashman was steadfast in not parting with Gleyber Torrez.Maybe he will rethink not getting the best pitcher in baseball for a guy who grounded out killing the last chance the Yankees had.You are absolutely right in your assessment early on, that scarcity of good starters cost the Yankees as it would any team.Good pitching will always neutralize the best hitting team.My condolences to the Yankee Fans here, but you did make the playoffs and the core of your team is incredible winning 100 games.
