Re: 2017 Mets Season
Team had a great weekend! Pitching, offense, defense..... nice to see they are still capable of winning. Hopefully we can carry the momentum this week against the Cubs and gain some more ground before they play the Nats.... LGM!

Re: 2017 Mets Season
Another great start by a Mets pitcher. Degrom pitched a complete game.
The hitting isn't a problem at all lately. 6 more runs today.
Mets now have won 4 in a row and gained another game on the Nationals who just lost their 4th straight game by blowing a lead in the 9th.
8.5 back now
Lets go Mets

Great game, and Cabrera fighting for his spot with all the talk of bringing Rosario up.
Going to the game Wednesday.... LGM!

Re: 2017 Mets Season
Tick tock tick tock....as we get closer and closer to the All Star Game.Really don't understand why this team does not re-evaluate the Fitness and Training Coaches as to the reason why these guys sustain so many injuries. If not for the Nats crap bullpen , we would be in the 15 to 20 games out area. Not giving up yet, still plenty of time in the season for an August-September rebound but right now, it's painful.

Re: 2017 Mets Season
For sure doc, it's so frustrating. No one is keeping an eye on the players and their workout regimens. Sure, players can get injured, but this is ridiculous. Pretty soon we will have the entire Vegas team filling the roster.

That indicates a total collapse of team spirit now.Guys thinking they will be traded, injuries up the wazoo.Going to take a miracle to turn this around and don't ask me how that will happen.

Well, this ugly series with the Nats was a chance for us to gain ground on those guys.Instead, we slip down further.Nats the big boys on the block in our division for SURE especially Danny Murphy taking us apart yesterday(ahem, ahem, Alderson). As we get close to the All Star Game, thinking the longest of long shots is a chance at a playoff spot and even there we are WAY far away.Hey, maybe if they get back Colon as I have read, that will spark things up.Maybe Colon will respond favorably, in Atlanta he was AWFUL.

Always felt Duda never lived up to expectations, a streaky hitter. Not a bad first baseman but did make some bonehead errors.Think he is over 30 now. Will give us a chance to see the new guy Dominic Smith and see what he has to offer.Ramos not a bad move especially when they trade Reed which is probably a lock.

Re: 2017 Mets Season
Officially throwing in the towel now on any hope of a playoff spot.Too many injuries and just no team chemistry at all.Best I can enjoy now is seeing them play the spoiler role and watching the new talent.Rosario looks great on the field but needs more bat experience.Hoping to see Harvey and Syndegaard before the season ends and maybe make a late September win streak to get hopes up for 2018.Looks like Houston and the Dodgers are the hot clubs right now.The Dodgers kicked our arses, lol.
7:03 AM News Flash .Just over the wires Bruce traded to Cleveland for a minor league pitcher.Bruce now in the hunt for the playoffs. He did help us get to the playoffs last year so I wish him well with his new team.

Even if the Mets were within a few games, they would never get past the Dodgers or Houston anyway. Might as well throw in the towel now than suffer heartbreak in October. I still enjoy going to games, been to 12 so far this year and more to come. Just being in the ballpark makes me happy, and watching the youngsters come into their own will be fun! LGM!

In this dismal season, last night's game was special.Rookies Rosario and Smith played and Rosario hit the game winning home run and went 3 for 4.Smith got a single.Liking the new reliever as well.Pieces in place for next season and we can be spoilers for the rest of this year.Would love to see Harvey and Syndegaard get a few wins under their belts too.

Wow, I'm flabbergasted, nary a peep on the Subway Series.Figured I would read Yankee Fans gloating as well they should, lol.Hoping for at least one win tonight and not endure the horror of being swept. The only good I can get out of this as a Met Fan is that the two young rookies Rosario and Smith are doing well in this pressure cooker series.I love baseball because there are no BS elements involved, you have it or you don't, and if your team is lacking , a superior team will wipe the floor with ya,LOL, like is happening in this Subway Series

The Yankees got a little help from the ump behind the plate, terrible calls (on both sides) that hurt the Metsies. No sour grapes, Yanks are better, but it doesn't help that the umps are blind

Yep, Janet, those blown calls are a pain in the arse, but after watching baseball so many years they tend to even out.Remember Santana's no hitter when that ball which was clearly fair and should have been a base hit was called foul near the left field line?

Re: 2017 Mets Season
Any other Met Fan having Cespedes regrets? Not only can't he hit for s__t, but his fielding is awful as well.Red flag for me was when he reported to spring training hot dogging it with those fancy cars.He CHOKED in the World Series as well.TRhat statement that he thought Oaklands manager was the best really slapped Collins in the face and Cespedes said he would like to finish his career there, WTF????? Hope this big contract is not another bum one like Wright's, all that money for a guy who I think will never play again.
This team is broken mentally and we need a new manager, and coaching staff. That play Rosario blew by tapping his mitt? Well, he had done that the first day he came up and the coaching staff should have addressed that.We need a complete new training and medical staff as well with all these injuries.
End of rant, over and out,LOL.

Re: 2017 Mets Season
In this miserable season, I was at the game and saw Conforto hit the deck in pain tearing out his shoulder, last nights win over the division leading Nats was a boost.2018 will be a much better year with a healthy pitching staff and these young rookies coming up.Tip o' the hat to De Grom, the rock of the pitching staff.
Very encouraged to see Montero pitch a few better games! Ramos will be a great set up man for Familia and there are some good arms in there for the 7th, Blevins and Sewald.
It's like that old song from the 1950's when you are a Met fan... "You Gotta Have Hope", LOL

Agree 100%.We need young blood in there as manager.More important that that for us is the right trainer and fitness guy to stop this never ending stream of injuries.
