Wednesday Night Severe T-Storms Obs.

Figured I'd make an Obs thread for this since there's now a tornado watch to our west and a severe thunderstorm watch for our entire area.

The wind is nuts it's dry out so I'm in a elevated area and it's ripping.

Just under 2 inches of rain here so far.

We are in the tornado watch here in Hazlet..wind picked up 24 mph and we had a very heavy burst of rain that last about 15 minutes..now just raining hard it is 60*!! up from the low 40's earlier

Looks like that line in EPA will make it here

63* and under a Tornado Watch here. Rain has lightened up a bit as the last cell ripped through here with downpours, lightening and thunder about an hour ago. Now all eyes to this line to our west which looks NASTY. The wind is really whipping ahead of this line. I'm hoping I don't have any downed trees or damage here.

Still not sure itll make it. Looks like it may but at a certain point the storms peter out like the last cell dissapated right to my north suddenly.

Do u think the line of the storms will weeken because of the maritime air

No, just less favorable instability somewhere around central to eastern NJ is where the models prog the cutoff, where the storms weaken (like the first round made it to about me then soon as it went NNE it died out).

Wow some gusts have b top 40 mph blow through for past few min in waves.

Up to 63 in Hackettstown. Rain hasn't let up since I got home @ 7:30.  Not  too much thunder but some very impressive lightning.

Winds here in Western Suffolk County are insane

Seriously snow 2000 westchester outages and climbing every 15 min.

I have not heard wind roar through the trees like this in a long time. Hard here being it's so noisy.

Went through a wild ride past hour. Strong winds thunder and lightning worst has seem to pass

The wind continues to rattle my whole house. Since I'm relatively new to this house I don't know if this is normal during big storms, but it is unsettling that's for sure.

I had no thunderstorm yet But wow the winds are howling out of the south I must wind gust over 60 mph my house is shaking

60* dewpt 58* actually feels humid. Dewpoint makes it feel very non Feb like.

Truck flipped over on the GWB, possibly wind related. Traffic is at a standstill for miles into Manhattan & Bronx

What a mess garbage was put out roads are all trash and cans flying around. And the line not even here yet!
