I know right. This really is like the outer bands of a hurricane. Not everyone gets into them.

No need to apologize. Enjoy. Some real heavy bands about to converge on you any minute now. And don't worry about Doc and CP. They're both older than us and have seen their fair share of snow. I also don't think they will catch us, and I'm pretty sure CP feels that way too. He even went so far as to "make up" a reason to come down to LI to get in on the action because he knows this is where it's at and he wanted a taste. tongue

I Got 4" on non-paved here and 3" on paved surfaces. Still snowing lightly. Gonna go with 3.5" Season total now 41.5" Very Happy

with a few threats incoming

I have been under the mid to darker green most of the day in western suffolk county - Just starting to ease up a bit now. But probably have 5" or so.

Yep, you and Doc have a lot of catching up on my list of big snowstorms I have seen starting with Dec 11-12 1960.I will say, these last few years you guys are moving up the list fast!!

Yes, Flurries watch just issued for all of Dutchess county. Moderate to sometimes heavy flurries late this afternoon thru tonight. These flurries might actually coat the ground with that white stuff so use caution when driving.

Graupel, don't see that everyday. As depressing as it is seeing such a beast that could have been depart having threat after threat and even constant light snow is making it finally feel like a real winter somewhat.
