40 deg after a high of 45 deg it felt like march day today with the snow pack melting away

I remember that one too.  It was a Tuesday.  Only reason I know that is because it was my one and only day off, I had just gotten both my kids down for a nap, and I was sitting at my couch getting ready to eat a "Lone Star" (breaded chix cutlet, BBQ sauce, chedder and bacon--I know amazing).  The whole house shook, and my body was rocking back and forth on the couch.  Just as I realized that it was an earthquake and was about to run and grab my kids and get out it was over.  I called my wife in a panic to make sure she was ok and to see if she felt it.  I was a bit scared to be honest.  It was the one and only earthquake Ive ever experienced.  My wife on the otherhand growing up in So California, busted my chops for weeks because she has experinced bigger quakes than that all her life.  Not sure why I just went into so much detail about that but anyway.  Here is the current radar: Hopefully someone can get a coating tomorrow:

My question isn't that storm mid week suppose to help us out

Hopefully some of this holds up as it passes over the mountains. I suspect the majority of this is from enhanced lift via upsloping.

FRAME. DID NOT SLOW IT DOWN QUITE THAT MUCH...AS COULD SEE A BLOOM
OF PRECIPITATION AHEAD OF MULTIPLE VORTICITY MAXIMA AHEAD OF
700-500 HPA TROUGH AXIS.

UPPER TROUGH WILL CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE FRONT EASTWARD TODAY...WITH
TIMING OF ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT IN THE 14-18Z PERIOD PER THE MODEL
CONSENSUS. ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE SOME LIFT WITH THE SURFACE
BOUNDARY...THE BEST CHANCE FOR PRECIPITATION APPEARS TO BE POST
FRONTAL AS A STRONG SHORTWAVE ACTS ON A CONDITIONALLY UNSTABLE
AIRMASS. WITH MID LEVEL LAPSE RATES STEEPENING TO OVER
8C/KM...CONVECTIVE DEVELOPMENT SEEMS LIKELY AND ALL OF THE
OPERATIONAL MODELS SUGGEST THIS. TEMPS IN THE MOST UNSTABLE AREA
RANGE FROM -10C TO -23C WHICH MAKES IT PRIME FOR SNOW SQUALLS.
ALTHOUGH BOUNDARY LAYER TEMPERATURES SHOULD BE SOMEWHAT MILD IN
THE UPPER 30S TO NEAR 40...WOULD EXPECT EVAPORATIVE COOLING TO
RAPIDLY CHILL THE ENVIRONMENT IN THE VICINITY OF THE SNOW SHOWERS
AND KEEP RAIN FROM MIXING IN AT THIS TIME. STORM MOTION PER THE
NAM IS IN THE 5-10KT RANGE...SO A COATING TO PERHAPS A QUICK INCH
POSSIBLE IN THE HEAVIEST ACTIVITY.

Already 34 degrees. Lots of melting will take place over the next few days. The heavy rain and mild temps on Wednesday will inflict heavy damage to the snow pack.

I'm guessing, save for some snow piles, the snowpack pretty much goes.This is El Nino type of winter.No extended snowpack but with huge snowstorm potential like we saw in Feb 1983 and just recently.

Exactly.

Honestly, I'm kind of liking it... I couldn't do another winter of being in a frozen tundra state for weeks on end. 35° here and starting to see grass patches where I had less snowpack due to the winds last week. Just hope we get the next big one before the 18th when I leave for Daytona!
