Below are a few of my favorite go to links that  I have used and still use to teach myself about various aspects of the weather.  If you have a favorite link that has not been listed and you feel others may learn something by visiting  please feel free to add it.  I will continue to add to this over time.

The first link is one of my all time favorites and the one I used all the time early on in my weather self education classes and one I still go back to often.  Want to know what cold air damming is, or how to read a 500mb map, or what the corriolis effect is, or what stratopheric warming means, or whatever go here first.  On the top of the page you will see a search engine with an option to search the entire web or just this website.  I always started with just this website.  Type in whatever it is you want to read about into the search engine and voila.
